ARESIA develops jettisonable external fuel tanks: design, qualification, prototyping and series production.
Since 1950 and the development of Mirage III, ARESIA has participated in the development and manufacturing of external fuel tanks of all the Dassault Aviation fighters. Still today, ARESIA produces and supports Rafale and Mirage 2000 jettisonable external fuel tanks.
- Supersonic or subsonic design
- Fully welded leak-proof aluminum structure

The technology used and controlled by ARESIA for the manufacturing are the following:
- Metal forming (stretch / cold forming, spinning)
- TIG welding (manual, semi-automatic)
- Spot welding
- Riveting
- Heat treatment & NDT

Aresia invests in a welding robot to double Rafale fuel tank production
The Witry-lès-Reims site has invested €1.2 million in this machine, which will help it meet Dassault’s demand to double production, amid a surge in orders for the fighter jet.
